first, i think root beer floats are great any time of year. but one of my favorite fall/winter treats is warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream - just call me old fashioned.
to add onto Miyo pretty much anything with vanilla ice cream makes my list. For the winter - freshly made ginger bread with whipped cream
